Welcome to the table
Take a seat in a cozy medieval tavern for a classic game of risk and reward. Roll six dice, set aside scoring combinations, and decide whether to bank your points or try for a bigger turn against a computer opponent.
A roll with no scoring dice means a Farkle: every unbanked point from that turn is lost. Simple rules leave room for real decisions, whether you settle in for a quick game or a longer match.
Six dice and a fresh chance. Pick out the scoring dice and build your turn.
Keep your scoring dice and reroll the rest. Weigh the possible payoff against the chance of losing your turn.
Lock in your points before fortune turns. Sometimes the boldest move is stopping.
More than a tabletop
Fully rendered 3D dice, warm lighting, wooden interiors, and ambient tavern sounds bring the table to life. The soundtrack includes authentic medieval music from the historical period itself, grounding each match in the sounds of the era.

The craft behind the tavern
Developed by Pterosoft Studio, Farkle: Tavern Dice brings our custom Ptero-Engine to life in a fully rendered 3D tavern.
The engine is built for Windows x64 in C++ and HLSL, with a DirectX 12 renderer and DXR ray tracing. A native Qt editor and Node Graph visual scripting support game development, while RmlUi powers interfaces and FMOD Studio handles audio.
Its rendering tools include ray-traced global illumination with NRD denoising, volumetric lighting, and image-quality options such as DLSS and FSR. Ptero-Reconstruction explores analytic edge anti-aliasing with Ptero AA and spatial reconstruction with Ptero SR. The next engine upgrade planned for Farkle is outlined below.
